D-Wave Introduces On-Premises Quantum Systems to Enhance AI and Research

D-Wave Quantum Inc. has announced the launch of on-premises quantum computing systems, designed to push the boundaries of quantum-fueled research and AI development, as stated in a press release. This new offering allows research centers, academic institutions, and government entities to purchase D-Wave Advantage systems, which are the world's largest annealing quantum computers with over 5,000 qubits.

The introduction of these systems is supported by the recent acquisition of a D-Wave Advantage quantum system by Forschungszentrum Jülich, marking it as the first high-performance computing center globally to do so. The on-premises systems come with tailored pricing and include shipping, installation, calibration, and ongoing maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Additionally, D-Wave has launched the "Quantum Uplift" program, providing financial incentives for organizations dissatisfied with competitor quantum systems to switch to D-Wave's solutions. This initiative aims to address the growing demand for reliable and high-performing quantum computing systems, particularly in high-performance computing environments.
