Cyient Semiconductors Secures $30 Million Financing Led by Edelweiss

Cyient Semiconductors has announced a $30 million strategic financing round led by Edelweiss, valuing the company at $500 million. The funds will support R&D, infrastructure expansion, and working capital for its global semiconductor business.

Cyient Semiconductors has announced a strategic financing transaction with funds managed by Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors and affiliated co-investors, according to a press release. The deal includes an equity investment of about 10 million dollars at a post-money valuation of roughly 500 million dollars, along with 20 million dollars in structured debt capital.

The company stated that the combined 30 million dollars will be used to advance its research and development roadmap for custom power semiconductors and application-specific standard products, build in-house validation and testing infrastructure in India, and support working capital for expanding global programs.

Over the past year, Cyient Semiconductors has acquired Kinetic Technologies, launched India's first gallium nitride power IC family in partnership with Navitas Semiconductor, and established partnerships with GlobalFoundries, MIPS, and Navitas. The company also leads the modernization program for the Semiconductor Laboratory in India.

Cyient Semiconductors, headquartered in Hyderabad, designs analog mixed-signal and intelligent power semiconductor platforms for customers in data centers, automotive, industrial automation, and communications.
