October 06, 2025
Cyera has introduced Cyera Research Labs and released its first AI Readiness Report, revealing that while 83% of enterprises use AI, only 13% have strong visibility into its data interactions.

Cyera has launched Cyera Research Labs, a new research division focused on AI and data security, announced in a press release. Alongside this launch, Cyera released the 2025 State of AI Data Security Report, which highlights a significant gap in AI readiness among enterprises.

The report, based on a survey of over 900 IT and security leaders, reveals that while 83% of enterprises are using AI, only 13% have strong visibility into how AI interacts with their data. Key findings include that 76% of respondents find autonomous AI agents challenging to secure, and only 9% monitor AI activity in real-time.

The report also notes that AI governance is still developing, with only 7% of organizations having a dedicated AI governance committee. Cyera aims to address these challenges by providing data-driven insights and guidance through its new research arm, helping organizations better manage AI-related data security risks.

Cyera continues to enhance its data security solutions, offering tools to discover, classify, and secure data across various environments, including cloud services like AWS and Microsoft 365.
