CompTIA says enterprise AI is shifting toward risk management
CompTIA said in a press release that enterprise AI adoption is shifting toward execution risk as organizations expand the technology into core operations. About six in 10 organizations are moving from experiments and individual productivity uses toward implementation across the organization.
Cybersecurity concerns ranked as the second largest challenge to AI adoption, behind balancing human employees with AI tools and agents. Among surveyed companies, 98% identified risk management as important to AI policies, while 96% cited data protection and privacy and 95% cited governance.
Cybersecurity will be a key area of AI spending for 48% of organizations, equal to the share planning investment in employee AI training. CompTIA identified three priorities: aligning AI strategy with existing governance practices, creating decision making structures across business functions and preparing workers through AI and cybersecurity training.
CompTIA sells IT training and certifications, and the release does not state how many organizations were surveyed or how the research was conducted.
