Covenant Unveils AI Legal Intelligence Platform for Private Market Investors
New York-based Covenant has launched Covenant 2.0, an AI-powered legal intelligence platform designed for private market investors, announced in a press release. The platform gives users real-time access to verified legal data and portfolio insights to accelerate data-driven investment decisions.
Covenant 2.0 allows investors to query verified legal datasets using natural language through its "Ask Covenant AI" feature, providing instant answers based on attorney-verified data. The platform also enables AI-generated commentary, issue spotting, and negotiation insights for various investment types, while structuring and making searchable all terms, amendments, and side letters.
Additional capabilities include portfolio trend detection, benchmarking, and correlation mapping across funds and direct deals. Users can generate visual charts for portfolio terms and subsets. The system integrates multiple AI models with enterprise-grade security, including SOC 2 Type II certification and zero data retention.
Covenant serves institutional investors such as endowments, sovereign wealth funds, and asset managers managing over $2 trillion in assets. The company recently completed a $4 million seed round and continues to focus on improving legal data accessibility and workflow efficiency for private market participants.
