Cognition and AWS Partner to Deploy Devin for Cloud Modernization
Cognition and Amazon Web Services signed a multiyear Strategic Collaboration Agreement to help enterprises deploy Devin for software maintenance and cloud modernization, the companies said in a company blog post. The work will focus on moving legacy systems to AWS and addressing security and engineering backlogs.
Customers can purchase Devin through AWS Marketplace and use the Agent Toolkit for AWS within Devin. The companies are also exploring further integrations for existing AWS environments.
Cognition says deployments follow customers' internal policies and local data residency requirements, with each Devin session running in its own virtual machine that is created for the task and removed when the work is finished. Devin's audit log APIs record user actions and feed the monitoring and compliance tools a customer already runs.
Cognition said Mercedes-Benz used Devin to analyze more than 200,000 lines of COBOL, reducing an estimated eight month modernization project to eight days. Another automaker used it to move a 25,000 line COBOL workflow from a mainframe to AWS Lambda at an estimated 73% lower cost.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
