Amazon is in talks to acquire Israeli AI startup Decart for about $7 billion, according to CTech. The companies could sign an agreement soon, although negotiations could still end without a deal.

The talks follow Anthropic's decision to drop a proposed acquisition of Decart after due diligence. Decart raised $300 million at a valuation of about $4 billion in May and has secured roughly $450 million in total funding.

Decart develops software that helps AI models run more efficiently and move between chips from different manufacturers. AWS is already a customer and gave the startup early access to Amazon's Trainium3 chip in 2025. Decart also makes Lucy, a system for editing video in real time, and Oasis, a model that generates interactive simulated environments.
