CodeBoxx is taking orders for CrewKit Forge, an AI software development appliance that companies can own and operate on their premises, the company announced in a press release. The one meter cube runs local AI models and can process the equivalent of up to 20 software development workloads in parallel, according to CodeBoxx.

CrewKit Forge handles repository work, builds, code generation, testing, reviews and monitoring locally. It can send tasks requiring more reasoning capacity or longer context to CodeBoxx's private cloud through a managed inference gateway, with each decision logged. The reference configuration includes a 96 core processor, NVIDIA powered inference gateways, 1 TB of RAM and 12.8 TB of Gen5 NVMe storage.

CodeBoxx will deliver and install the appliance in the United States and Canada. Each installation includes a three year service plan and team training, while a refundable $2,500 deposit reserves a configuration and a place in the deployment queue.
