GitHub Makes Copilot Fusion Generally Available
GitHub made Copilot Fusion generally available on October 28, as detailed in a company changelog. The system automatically selects and coordinates models for each coding task instead of requiring users to choose a specific model. GitHub said Fusion Max scored 60 on the Artificial Analysis Coding Agent Index, within two points of Claude Code with Opus 5.5 Max, at about half the average API cost per task and about 40% less time.
Users can choose Standard, High, or Max effort levels. Fusion can assign a task to one model, use a cascade that escalates to a stronger model after a quality check, or have one model review another model's response before revision.
Copilot Fusion is available on all Copilot plans in Visual Studio Code, the GitHub Copilot app, GitHub Copilot CLI, and JetBrains IDEs. Administrators can control which models it uses and set it as the default, while customers are billed at each selected model's standard rate. Paid Copilot plans receive a 30% discount on Fusion model costs for a limited time.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
