Caplight Raises $16 Million Series A Led by BlackRock and Fin Capital

Caplight Technologies has secured $16 million in Series A funding led by BlackRock and Fin Capital, with participation from UBS Investment Bank, to expand its private market data and transaction infrastructure.

Caplight Technologies has raised $16 million in Series A funding led by BlackRock and Fin Capital, with strategic participation from UBS Investment Bank, announced in a press release. The financing will support Caplight's expansion in private market data and agentic workflows for research and transactions.

Caplight provides a unified platform for private market investing and data management, offering access to over 100,000 company and investor profiles, $4 trillion in funding round data, and $300 billion in proprietary secondary data. The company reports $5 billion in daily live transaction flow and serves clients managing more than $52 trillion in assets.

The round also included participation from LEAP Global Partners, DB1 Ventures, Better Tomorrow Ventures, Clocktower Ventures, and Dash Fund. Caplight plans to enhance its data infrastructure and collaboration with BlackRock across its technology ecosystem, including Aladdin and Preqin.

Founded in 2021 by Javier Avalos and Justin Moore, the San Francisco based company builds data and transaction infrastructure for venture capital and offers securities transactions through its subsidiary Caplight Markets LLC, a member of FINRA and SIPC.
