Context Labs Acquires Kinertic and Signs Trafigura AI Platform Deal

Context Labs has announced a set of transactions with Trafigura that includes the acquisition of Agora Europe and Kinertic, a Trafigura equity stake, and a multiyear platform license agreement.

Context Labs announced in a press release three transactions with Trafigura: the acquisition of Agora Europe Limited and the Kinertic carbon intelligence platform, a strategic equity stake by Trafigura in Context Labs, and a multiyear services and platform license agreement.

Kinertic was developed by Trafigura for carbon intelligence in commodity trading. Context Labs said the integrated industrial AI platform will connect primary emissions data with operational units and trading desks across Trafigura's oil, gas, and metals portfolio.

The framework agreement allows Trafigura to deploy the platform across its commodity trading divisions. The companies said the system will support emissions informed commodity trading using primary emissions data.
