Equity Trust Company expanded its Crypto IRA lineup with an AI powered automated option and a self traded account for holding digital assets in retirement accounts.

Equity Trust Company has expanded its Crypto IRA lineup with automated and self traded options for holding digital assets in retirement accounts, the company announced in a press release. Both accounts have $0 opening fees.

The Automated Crypto IRA is powered by Animus Technologies and requires a $25,000 minimum investment for Equity Trust IRA customers. It uses proprietary algorithms to evaluate market conditions and automatically recommend and execute Bitcoin and Ethereum trades through investment models based on predefined rules.

The Equity Crypto IRA is a self traded account that lets investors buy, sell, and hold cryptocurrencies through Equity Trust's Digital Trading Platform. The platform is integrated into the myEQUITY online account management system.

Eligible assets include large capitalization cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, decentralized finance tokens, AI and blockchain infrastructure assets, payments and digital commerce assets, and blockchain innovation assets. Digital assets are held with institutional grade custody, cold wallet protection, and specialty insurance coverage.
