Blackbaud Introduces AI Suite for Social Impact Organizations
Blackbaud has announced a significant expansion of its AI capabilities, introducing a suite of 70 embedded, sector-specific AI tools aimed at enhancing the operations of social impact organizations. This announcement was made at bbcon 2025, as stated in a press release. The new initiative includes the launch of Agents for Good™, a suite of AI agents designed to assist nonprofits by automating complex workflows and freeing up resources across various functions such as fundraising and finance.
The first of these agents, a Development Agent, is embedded within Blackbaud's environment and aims to help organizations identify and engage with donors more effectively, unlocking new revenue streams at reduced costs. Additionally, Blackbaud has introduced intuitive dashboards and streamlined workflows to transform its system of record into a system of intelligent action.
To further support the sector, Blackbaud has convened the AI Coalition for Social Impact, which includes various partners such as the Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals and Databricks. This coalition will offer a free AI certification course to equip organizations with foundational AI skills tailored for the social impact sector.
Blackbaud's vision extends to creating an agentic ecosystem where its AI can coordinate with agents from other providers, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of social impact organizations.
