BigID Introduces Data Cleansing for AI to Enhance Security

August 09, 2025
BigID has announced a new Data Cleansing for AI capability to help organizations manage sensitive data before it enters AI tools, according to a press release.

BigID has introduced a new feature called Data Cleansing for AI, designed to enhance data security by removing high-risk and sensitive data before it enters generative AI tools and large language models. This announcement was made in a press release.

The Data Cleansing for AI capability allows organizations to redact or tokenize sensitive information across both structured and unstructured data formats, such as emails, PDFs, and databases. This helps prevent confidential data from being embedded into model outputs or misused in downstream AI applications.

By providing native support for various data formats, BigID enables security teams to proactively secure data and apply policy-based controls, thereby reducing exposure to data leakage and unauthorized use. This feature is part of BigID's Secure Data Pipeline solution, which includes GenAI Catalog, Search, and Safe-for-AI Labeling.
