Amazon Web Services (AWS) and HUMAIN have announced a $5 billion investment to establish an AI Zone in Saudi Arabia, aiming to advance AI infrastructure and services in the region.

Amazon Web Services and HUMAIN have announced a strategic partnership to invest over $5 billion in creating an AI Zone in Saudi Arabia. This initiative aims to enhance AI infrastructure and services, aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 to become a global leader in artificial intelligence. The AI Zone will feature AWS's advanced AI infrastructure, including UltraCluster networks and services like Amazon SageMaker and Bedrock, to support the development of generative AI applications.

The collaboration will also focus on AI training and talent development, with AWS committing to train 100,000 Saudi citizens in cloud computing and generative AI skills. This effort is part of a broader strategy to accelerate AI adoption across key sectors such as government, healthcare, and education, enabling personalized learning and early disease diagnosis.

HUMAIN will leverage AWS technologies to develop AI solutions for its customers and work on creating a unified AI agent marketplace for the Saudi government. This partnership is expected to drive the growth of Large Language Models, including Arabic Large Language Models, and foster AI innovation in the Gulf region and beyond.
