Avatar Medical Vision Gains CE Marking for 3D Imaging Software

Avatar Medical has received CE marking for its Avatar Medical Vision, a solution that converts medical images into 3D and XR renderings, enhancing patient and surgeon communication.

Avatar Medical has received CE marking for its innovative Avatar Medical Vision software, announced in a press release. This certification allows the software to be used across Europe, enabling real-time conversion of patient medical images into 3D and XR renderings. The American Hospital of Paris will be the first in Europe to implement this technology, using it to enhance patient consultations, particularly for explaining breast cancer pathology and treatment options.

The CE marking signifies a major step for Avatar Medical, which was founded in 2020 as a spin-off from the Institut Pasteur and Institut Curie. The software is designed to assist in various stages of patient care, including consultations, interdisciplinary meetings, surgical planning, and during surgery itself. The technology has already been piloted in the United States at institutions like the University of Miami and Northwell Health, receiving positive feedback from both patients and surgeons.

With offices in Mountain View, Paris, and Saint-Malo, Avatar Medical aims to democratize access to medical imaging, enhancing communication between healthcare professionals and patients. The company's achievements have been recognized by programs such as NVIDIA Inception and EIC Accelerator.
