Augustus Raises $180 Million Series B at $1 Billion Valuation
Augustus Bank has announced a $180 million Series B funding round at a $1 billion valuation, according to a press release. The round was led by Tiger Global, with participation from Hummingbird, QED, and the founders of major fintech companies including Nubank, Ramp, Circle, and Deel.
Augustus provides international fintechs and banks direct access to dollar accounts and payment systems through its federally chartered platform. The company operates an API-based infrastructure supporting operating and FBO accounts with named virtual accounts. Customers can transact through Swift, ACH, SEPA, and stablecoins.
The new capital will allow Augustus to expand its services across Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. It will also invest further in its proprietary core banking system, Marble, which uses AI in the back office to improve settlement speed and operational availability.
The funding follows the company’s conditional approval from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in May 2026, making Augustus the eighth bank since 2010 to receive such approval. The charter allows Augustus to build federally regulated banking infrastructure from the ground up and to provide customers direct access to dollars.
