Augment Code Releases Auggie CLI for Developers

Augment Code has made its Auggie CLI available to all customers, providing powerful developer tools beyond the IDE.

Augment Code has announced the general availability of its Auggie CLI for all customers, eliminating the waitlist for users on a paid plan. The CLI tool, designed to enhance developer workflows, is now accessible for installation via npm, requiring Node 22 or later on Mac, Linux, or Windows WSL.

The Auggie CLI offers a range of features, including the ability to pair program directly from the terminal, utilize a Task List and Prompt Enhancer, and create custom commands for workflow automation. Developers can automate common tasks or manage large batches of tasks in parallel, leveraging Auggie's capabilities to streamline their coding processes.

According to the company's documentation, Auggie can be used in both interactive and automation modes, providing flexibility for manual development work and integration into CI/CD pipelines. The tool's interactive mode offers a full-screen terminal interface with real-time streaming and visual progress indicators, while automation modes allow for clean, structured outputs without additional prompts.
