Amass Secures €1.4M to Develop AI Map for Scientific Knowledge
amass, a Copenhagen-based startup, has secured €1.4 million in funding to develop an AI-driven platform that maps global scientific knowledge. The platform is designed to link scientific data across life sciences, including patents, research papers, regulatory filings, and trial data, to streamline research workflows and accelerate discoveries.
The funding round saw participation from Giant Ventures, Kost Capital, EIFO, and Christian Thirion, who will also serve as the company's Chairman. Additionally, the company has appointed new board members, including Tommy Ahlers, former Danish Minister for Science, Technology, Information and Higher Education, and Bodil Sidén from Kost Capital.
Founded by Henrik Jensen and Alexander Junge, Amass aims to reduce the time it takes for pharma and biotech teams to reach new discoveries by connecting disparate sources of scientific information into a single, queryable platform. The platform not only retrieves information but also links concepts from multiple sources, providing evidence to support each connection.
With the new funding, Amass plans to enhance its product offerings and expand into additional markets, ultimately creating a comprehensive AI map that visualizes the interconnectedness of scientific knowledge globally.
