Convex Raises $57M Series B for Backend Platform
Convex announced in a press release that it raised a $57 million Series B led by Insight Partners. The round included Etna Labs and existing investors a16z and Spark Capital, bringing Convex's total funding to $110.5 million.
Convex said the funding will support core product development, agentic development tooling, and hiring at its San Francisco headquarters. The company offers a backend platform with a database, functions, workflow, sync, search, and file storage in TypeScript.
The company said its platform powers nearly 2 million applications from close to 500,000 developers and has more than 1.2 million weekly npm downloads. Its customers include OpenAI, Tripadvisor, Solana, Zapier, and Reducto.
