Africa's AI Ambitions Unveiled at Unstoppable Africa 2025

Zimbabwean billionaire Strive Masiyiwa, Founder and Executive Chairman of Econet Global and Cassava Technologies, revealed plans to establish Africa's first network of AI factories powered by NVIDIA GPUs, set for completion by the end of 2026. This initiative aims to foster homegrown innovation and accelerate Africa's participation in the global AI economy.
Meta also announced upcoming investment opportunities in Africa's digital ecosystem, reflecting confidence in the continent's growing tech and AI potential. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to develop locally led solutions and enhance regional integration and global competitiveness.
