Synthesia, a UK-based startup specializing in AI-generated video avatars, has secured a strategic investment from Adobe Ventures after reaching $100 million in annual recurring revenue. This investment highlights Adobe's interest in expanding its enterprise AI video tools beyond its traditional creative suite, reports Sifted.

Synthesia, which serves over 70% of the Fortune 100, offers a platform that allows companies to create lifelike videos using AI avatars. The company has been a key player in corporate training, communications, and marketing, with thousands of AI videos generated daily on its platform. Despite its rapid growth, Synthesia remains unprofitable but sees a clear path to profitability.

The investment from Adobe follows Synthesia's $180 million Series D round in January, which doubled its valuation to $2.1 billion. The company is also planning to introduce an AI agent tool that will enable interactive video content, expected to be released in the first half of this year. This new product aims to enhance customer engagement by allowing real-time interaction with video content.
