5WPR Launches Defense Practice Focused on AI Visibility for Defense Firms
5WPR has launched a Defense Practice dedicated to U.S. defense primes, venture-backed defense technology firms, aerospace companies, and defense investors, announced in a press release. The new division will help clients strengthen their presence across AI research platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
The launch follows the publication of the 5W Defense and Aerospace AI Visibility Index 2026, which found that Anduril Industries and Palantir Technologies together accounted for 35 percent of AI citation share in the U.S. defense and aerospace category. This combined share exceeded that of the five largest legacy defense contractors, which collectively held 21.1 percent.
The Defense Practice combines public relations, digital marketing, Generative Engine Optimization, and AI visibility research. It offers services such as citation share measurement, content optimization for AI retrieval, founder communications, earned media programs, and Wikipedia audits. The group also includes crisis communication support for incidents involving ITAR exposure or classified programs.
5WPR stated that the practice will operate under confidentiality conditions suited to defense communications, given the classification and procurement sensitivities of its clients.
