XGRIDS is demonstrating a workflow for bringing captured physical locations into virtual production and live broadcasts at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, the company said in a press release. Its Lixel K2 scanner and PortalCam spatial camera capture visual and spatial data for local processing in Lixel CyberColor.

The resulting 3D Gaussian Splatting environments can be imported into Unreal Engine through the Lixel CyberColor plugin. The workflow supports scene composition, camera blocking, extended reality and in camera visual effects, with compatibility for Pixotope, Aximmetry, Disguise and nDisplay.

XGRIDS also demonstrated LCC Scan, which creates 3D Gaussian Splatting content locally on an iPhone. The tool captures people, objects and spaces as interactive 3D content.
