Wisdom Ventures Closes $77.7 Million Fund II for AI and Wellbeing Startups

Wisdom Ventures has closed its $77.7 million Fund II to invest in early-stage startups using AI to enhance human resilience and wellbeing. The fund follows the firm’s $10 million Fund I and will support around 40 companies with investments between $1 million and $5 million.

San Francisco-based Wisdom Ventures has closed its $77.7 million Fund II, which was oversubscribed. The new fund follows the firm’s $10 million Fund I and expands its focus on early stage startups developing technology that supports human resilience and wellbeing.

Fund II will invest between $1 million and $5 million in about 40 companies using AI to advance health, wellness, and human connection. The firm stated that the fund aims to back mission driven startups building technology that promotes human flourishing.

Limited partners in the new fund include technology leaders such as Reid Hoffman, Evan Sharp, Stewart Butterfield, and Jen Rubio. Dr. Vivek Murthy, former U.S. Surgeon General, will advise the firm on investments related to health and wellness.

Wisdom Ventures’ first fund has performed strongly, ranking among the top quartile of early stage funds. The firm’s team includes Operating Partner Zoë Rogers and Venture Partners Jack Kornfield, Ruchika Sikri, and Diego Perez.
