Community Health Network Deploys Clarium for Surgical Supply Costs

Community Health Network is deploying Clarium across nine hospitals to reduce surgical supply costs, the companies said in a press release.

Clarium will provide an AI powered supply chain automation platform that identifies savings opportunities in surgical settings. Community said a third of its operating expenses are tied to the supply chain, and it plans to use the platform to target millions in annual savings on surgical spending.

The deployment will focus on surgical preference cards, which list the products and quantities a surgeon uses for a procedure. Clarium automates the review of these cards to find outdated or inaccurate entries that can lead to excess purchasing and waste in operating rooms.

Community also plans to use Clarium for more supply chain work over time, including contracting and procurement. The stated goals include lower waste, more transparency across supply chain operations, and less staff time spent on surgical supply management.
