WEKA Unveils NeuralMesh Axon for Exascale AI

WEKA has introduced NeuralMesh Axon, a storage system designed to enhance AI workloads at exascale, announced in a press release. The system aims to improve performance and reduce infrastructure needs for AI pioneers like Cohere and CoreWeave.

WEKA has introduced NeuralMesh Axon, a new storage system designed to enhance AI workloads at exascale, announced in a press release. This innovative system aims to address the challenges of running large-scale AI applications by integrating seamlessly with GPU servers and AI factories, thereby improving performance and reducing infrastructure requirements.

NeuralMesh Axon builds upon WEKA's existing NeuralMesh storage system, enhancing its capabilities with a containerized microservices architecture. This allows AI pioneers, such as Cohere, to accelerate AI model development significantly. The system supports real-time reasoning and improves token throughput, enabling faster market innovations.

CoreWeave, another early adopter, has integrated NeuralMesh Axon into its AI cloud infrastructure, achieving microsecond latencies and increased GPU utilization. This integration allows for more efficient AI processing, reducing I/O wait times and enhancing overall performance.

NeuralMesh Axon is currently available in limited release for large-scale enterprise AI and neocloud customers, with general availability expected in fall 2025.
