Volpara Health Announces CEO Transition and BOADICEA Integration
Volpara Health, a leader in AI-powered breast health solutions, has announced significant changes in its leadership and product offerings. In a press release, the company stated that Craig Hadfield, currently the Chief Customer and Financial Officer, will assume the role of CEO on April 1. He will succeed Teri Thomas, who has been at the helm since 2022 and played a crucial role in the company's transformation and acquisition by Lunit.
In addition to the leadership transition, Volpara Health has integrated its volumetric breast density assessment into the BOADICEA breast cancer risk model. This integration allows Volpara's density information to be used in the CanRisk web application, enhancing breast cancer risk assessment capabilities for healthcare providers globally. The BOADICEA model, endorsed by international guidelines, is now one of two models incorporating Volpara density, alongside the Tyrer-Cuzick model.
Furthermore, Volpara and Lunit's solutions were prominently featured in 21 independent research abstracts at ECR 2025, underscoring the impact of AI-driven breast health solutions in the radiology community.
