VIAVI and Hanyang University Collaborate on 6G Research
VIAVI Solutions and Hanyang University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on AI-RAN, 5G, and 6G research at the university's Beyond-G Global Innovation Center, announced in a press release. VIAVI will provide wireless lab test solutions and expertise, while Hanyang University will become a VIAVI 6G Forward academic partner.
The Beyond-G Global Innovation Center, selected by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea for the Global Innovation Research Center Support Project, aims to lead the development of next-generation communication technology. VIAVI will contribute its NITRO Wireless test and optimization suite, including a 6G testbed, to support the center's objectives.
This partnership is designed to foster talent and provide students with hands-on experience in cutting-edge test environments, laying the groundwork for impactful research in 6G and AI-RAN technologies.
