Verkada Partners with NVIDIA to Advance Physical AI Platform

July 01, 2026
Verkada has announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to accelerate the development and deployment of its physical AI platform, which operates across more than 2.4 million devices globally. NVIDIA also joins as a new investor in Verkada.

Verkada is expanding its physical AI platform through a new collaboration and investment from NVIDIA, announced in a press release. The partnership aims to accelerate the development and deployment of AI for physical security and operations across Verkada’s network of more than 2.4 million devices in 170 countries.

Verkada is integrating NVIDIA’s Cosmos world foundation models and Physical AI Data Factory to enhance model training and inference across its global infrastructure. The company reports a 68 percent improvement in the mean average precision of its AI-powered search, enabling faster and more accurate spatial and temporal understanding.

The collaboration also supports Verkada’s work on multimodal embeddings, vector retrieval for semantic search, and synthetic data generation to improve AI model accuracy. Verkada is developing a multi-model search agent architecture and exploring reasoning models to handle complex real-world scenarios such as safety incidents in manufacturing and theft detection in retail environments.

NVIDIA’s investment follows a previous strategic investment from Alphabet’s CapitalG, further strengthening Verkada’s efforts to deliver AI capabilities designed to enhance safety and efficiency across schools, hospitals, factories, and other facilities.
