Tuya Smart Expands AI Ecosystems and Upgrades Hey Tuya Platform
Tuya Smart announced in a press release the launch of its upgraded Hey Tuya platform and expanded AI ecosystem strategy at the 2026 Tuya Global Developer Summit in Shenzhen. The company highlighted three main AI application areas: AI Home, AI Robot, and AI Energy.
The new Hey Tuya introduces deeper integration with third party services, including Google Mail, Calendar, and Docs, allowing users to perform tasks such as sending emails or scheduling meetings through a single voice command. It also supports Matter and open source platforms like Home Assistant. The AI foundation has been improved to handle more natural conversations and complex task planning, while the skill library now includes functions for image recognition, slide creation, and video generation.
Tuya also presented new AI technologies for hardware innovation, including its self developed Personal Voice Activity Detection model, which helps devices identify the intended speaker and reduce false activations. Additional upgrades were announced across its AI infrastructure, such as Physical AI Foundation V2.8, Wukong AI 3.0, Tuya Real Time Communication network, Physical Action Model, and OmniMem V2.0 memory system.
The company stated that it will continue to focus on co-developing AI applications with global developers, emphasizing whole-home coordination, robotics for companionship and cleaning, and energy management systems powered by AI.
