Trigo Retail Introduces AI-Powered Loss Prevention Solution
Trigo Retail has launched a new AI-driven loss prevention solution to address the increasing challenges of retail theft and inventory shrinkage, announced in a press release. The solution leverages Trigo's proven computer vision technology, which is already in use at autonomous stores operated by major retailers like Tesco and REWE.
The innovative system compares each scanned item with what the shopper picks up, identifying mismatches in real time. If an item is taken but not scanned, an alert is triggered at checkout, ensuring a frictionless shopping experience while maintaining customer privacy. This approach addresses a significant blind spot in traditional systems by identifying concealed items before they reach the checkout.
Trigo's solution is designed to be rapidly deployed using existing CCTV infrastructure, requiring only a connection to current Network Video Recorder (NVR) systems and integration with the Point of Sale (POS) system. This capex-free approach allows for quick implementation and immediate return on investment, enhancing both retailer and customer experiences.
