Teradata has announced the Teradata Factory, an on-premises extension of its Autonomous Knowledge Platform built with Dell Technologies infrastructure, designed to unify enterprise AI and analytics across hybrid environments.

Teradata has introduced the Teradata Factory, an on-premises extension of its Autonomous Knowledge Platform, announced in a press release. The new system is built on Dell Technologies enterprise compute and storage infrastructure, providing a unified foundation for enterprises running AI and analytics across hybrid environments.

The Teradata Factory combines the full Teradata software suite, including AI Studio, into a single management system that supports enterprise data warehouse, Lakehouse, and advanced AI workloads. It is designed to deliver private AI capabilities, consistent governance, and integrated performance across cloud and on-premises deployments.

The system is pre-engineered with CPUs and GPUs and includes modular scaling with predictable economics. A unified management cluster coordinates compute, storage, and networking, allowing enterprises to expand from pilot to production without separate integration or validation of components.

Teradata’s platform includes Tera agents that automate infrastructure and operational tasks such as resource monitoring and query optimization. The on-premises deployment is intended to give organizations in regulated sectors greater control over data residency and governance while maintaining hybrid flexibility. The Teradata Factory is expected to become available in the third quarter of 2026.
