Synack has launched its agentic AI architecture, Sara, to enhance its Penetration Testing as a Service (PTaaS) platform, announced in a press release. This new hybrid intelligence platform leverages 13 years of penetration testing innovation to deliver proactive security validation in response to AI-powered attackers.

Sara integrates autonomous AI capabilities with human analysis from the Synack Red Team, allowing organizations to autonomously reduce risk across their attack surface. The platform's AI-versus-AI model uses AI-powered validation, supervised by human judgment, to counter machine-driven reconnaissance and attacks.

The Sara architecture includes components like Sara Triage, which provides autonomous triage of discovered vulnerabilities, and Sara Pentest, which will conduct full-scope penetration tests later this year. This human-in-the-loop approach ensures the discovery of logic flaws and nuanced vulnerabilities, bridging the gap between automated detection and human intuition.

Synack's AI-powered PTaaS platform aligns with modern security programs and supports global compliance frameworks, offering integrations with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and other systems to operationalize penetration testing findings in real time.
