Synchrony Adds OpenAI Models and ChatGPT Offers Plugin

Synchrony has announced an enterprise collaboration with OpenAI to add financing, rewards, and loyalty offers to AI shopping and checkout experiences. The company also launched a ChatGPT plugin for consumers to browse offers from participating Synchrony partners.

Synchrony announced in a press release an enterprise collaboration with OpenAI to add financing, rewards, and loyalty offers to AI native shopping and checkout experiences.

The company also launched a ChatGPT plugin in the ChatGPT plugin directory. The plugin lets consumers find savings and offers inside ChatGPT and browse promotional financing, deals, and everyday value from participating Synchrony partners.

Synchrony said it will deploy OpenAI models including GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna across its enterprise through ChatGPT Work, Codex, and AWS Bedrock. The company also said nearly 100% of its professional workforce has actively used AI tools such as ChatGPT since 2024.

Synchrony plans to expand employee access to ChatGPT Enterprise and ChatGPT Work. It said the rollout will be paired with job relevant AI training and internal tools for enterprise use cases.
