SAS and Notilyze Support FairClimateFund with Data Platform for Carbon Credit Transparency
In a press release, SAS announced a collaboration with Notilyze and FairClimateFund to improve transparency and efficiency in carbon credit reporting. FairClimateFund, based in the Netherlands, provides clean cooking solutions for low-income households and generates carbon credits from the resulting CO₂ reductions.
The partnership uses SAS data and AI solutions to automate monitoring and verification processes, replacing manual spreadsheet tracking. The Notilyze Digital Monitoring, Reporting and Verification platform, built on SAS Viya and hosted on Notilyze Cloud, consolidates data from customer records, fuel transactions, and household refunds to ensure accurate reporting of carbon credit distribution.
The new system enables FairClimateFund to monitor carbon credit performance weekly and reduce operational costs, allowing more revenue from credit sales to reach participating households. According to the organization, the platform supports projects that have already achieved 1.5 million tons of CO₂ reductions while providing greater visibility into community impact and sustainable development outcomes.
SAS stated that the collaboration demonstrates how analytics can strengthen transparency and traceability in carbon markets and ensure that benefits reach the communities involved.
