Globant and CMPC Deploy AI System for EU Deforestation Compliance

Globant and CMPC have implemented an AI-based supply chain traceability system to comply with the EU Deforestation Regulation, reducing manual processes from 12 days to minutes.

Globant and CMPC have launched an AI-based supply chain traceability and compliance system designed to meet the European Union’s Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), announced in a press release. The solution, built on SAP Clean Core principles and the SAP Business Technology Platform, automates document extraction and compliance workflows using machine learning and AI.

The implementation reduced manual traceability processes from up to 12 days to about three minutes, enabling near real-time compliance validation and regulatory reporting. This improvement represents up to 99.9% faster processing and ensures full adherence to EUDR requirements.

The system provides real-time visibility across CMPC’s global supply chain operations, improving governance and oversight. Its scalable architecture supports secure document management and long-term adaptability for evolving sustainability regulations.
