Saphlux and Vuzix Corporation have announced a strategic collaboration to advance the development of AI/AR glasses, as stated in a press release. This partnership aims to deliver a high-performance optical solution that will accelerate the adoption of next-generation AI/AR glasses.

Saphlux will provide its T1-0.13" mono-green MicroLED microdisplay, known for its exceptional brightness and uniformity, while Vuzix will integrate this display with its proprietary waveguides and system design expertise. The collaboration will also focus on developing a full-color AR optical solution, with plans to commercialize next-generation AI/AR smart glasses for ODM and OEM partners.

By the end of the year, the companies plan to co-develop a reference design display engine, including both dual-eye and single-eye mono-green models. This collaboration highlights the synergy between display technology and optical design, aiming to unlock practical AR device solutions ready for scale.
