Recognize Invests in Security Risk Advisors to Expand Cybersecurity Services

Recognize has made a strategic investment in Security Risk Advisors, marking the firm's first institutional equity funding. The partnership aims to accelerate SRA's advisory, managed security, and software offerings across its global operations.

Recognize, a private equity firm focused on digital services, announced in a press release a strategic investment in Security Risk Advisors (SRA), a cybersecurity consulting and managed security company. The deal represents SRA’s first institutional equity capital.

Headquartered in Philadelphia, SRA employs more than 300 cybersecurity professionals across the U.S., Ireland, and Australia. The company provides advisory and 24×7 managed security services and has developed proprietary platforms such as VECTR for purple team exercises and SCALR for security operations and data management. SRA is also a member of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association.

Co-founders Tim Wainwright and Chris Salerno will continue to lead the company. Legal counsel for Recognize was provided by Willkie Farr & Gallagher, with AGC Partners serving as financial advisor and Saul Ewing as legal counsel to SRA. Crescent Capital supplied debt financing for the transaction.
