Qatar Partners with Scale AI to Enhance Government Services
Qatar has signed a five-year agreement with Scale AI to implement AI-powered tools aimed at improving government services, according to Reuters. The collaboration will focus on deploying predictive analytics, automation, and advanced data analysis to streamline operations within the Gulf Arab state's government.
Scale AI, a San Francisco-based company, will develop over 50 potential AI applications for Qatar's government throughout the duration of the agreement. Trevor Thompson, Scale AI's global head of growth, mentioned that this initiative could serve as a model for other governments worldwide.
The partnership is part of Qatar's broader strategy to become a leader in artificial intelligence, as it faces increasing competition from neighboring countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Founded in 2016, Scale AI specializes in providing accurately labeled data for training AI tools, including those used by tech giants such as Microsoft and AI firms like OpenAI.
