Singapore will provide more than S$45 million over three years to help manufacturers adopt AI tools for design, document processing, production scheduling and maintenance.

The Singapore Government will provide more than S$45 million (US$35 million) over the next three years to help manufacturers adopt AI, according to Channel NewsAsia. The funding will support Enterprise Singapore's Catalytic AI Solutions initiative for advanced manufacturing.

Enterprise Singapore will offer small and medium sized manufacturers a suite of AI tools and cover part of the adoption costs for eligible companies. The tools will support product and component design, automate request for quotation processing, improve production scheduling and enable predictive maintenance.

Singapore's AI Centre of Excellence for Manufacturing will also expand under the Research, Innovation and Enterprise 2030 plan. The center has worked with 30 manufacturers and completed 23 AI projects across aerospace, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and energy.

The government also launched the Singapore Embodied AI Challenge for Manufacturing. Its first edition will focus on a semiconductor manufacturing use case from Micron, with participants developing AI and robotics systems for potential commercial deployment.
