Pony.ai has announced a partnership with Beijing ATBB Travel & Express Service to expand robotaxi commercialization in China’s major cities, announced in a press release. The collaboration will focus on deploying autonomous vehicles in tier-1 urban areas and airport routes through an asset-light model.

Under the agreement, Pony.ai and ATBB will jointly operate a fleet of seventh-generation robotaxis integrated into both companies’ mobility platforms. Pony.ai’s vehicles will also be accessible via ATBB’s Xinghui Mobility service, allowing shared demand and fleet resources across systems.

The partnership will extend robotaxi services to airport transfers and business travel, emphasizing fully driverless operations that offer enhanced privacy and reliability. The companies plan to begin operations in major cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai, connecting urban centers with transport hubs.

Pony.ai reported that its Gen-7 robotaxi operations have reached breakeven in Guangzhou and that its total fleet exceeded 1,159 vehicles in 2025. The company aims to expand to over 3,000 robotaxis by the end of 2026, supported by additional partnerships following its asset-light approach.
