LG Innotek and TDK Corporation have partnered to develop vision and tactile sensing modules for physical AI systems, including robot modules that detect contact and pressure.

LG Innotek and TDK Corporation announced in a press release a partnership to develop sensing modules for physical AI systems.

The companies plan to build vision sensing modules that combine LG Innotek's optical and ultra precision module design technologies with TDK's sensor technologies. The modules are intended to improve robot recognition by combining data on movement, position, and sound.

The partnership also covers a tactile sensing module designed to act like robot skin. The module is planned to help robots detect contact and pressure.
