LG Innotek and NVIDIA Develop Robot Sensing Systems

Oct 22, 2026
LG Innotek and NVIDIA are working on sensing systems that connect cameras and other sensors directly to GPU based AI computers. The companies plan to expand the work into robot vision and robotic hands.

LG Innotek is collaborating with NVIDIA to build sensing systems for robots and other physical AI applications, the company said in a press release. LG Innotek presented a 3 megapixel camera module and its Multimodal Vision System at GTC Berlin on October 20.

The products use NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge technology to send sensor data directly to a GPU based AI computer without passing through the CPU. The technology uses an open source, Ethernet connected system designed for sensors in robots, autonomous vehicles and other machines.

The companies plan to expand their work into robot vision sensing and robotic hands for humanoid robots. LG Innotek plans to present additional systems at CES and GTC in 2027.
