Announced in a press release, Prisma AIRS builds on the company's Secure AI by Design portfolio and aims to address security vulnerabilities associated with the rapid adoption of AI technologies in enterprises.

Prisma AIRS offers several key capabilities to enhance AI security. These include AI Model Scanning to detect vulnerabilities, Posture Management for identifying security risks, AI Red Teaming for automated penetration testing, and Runtime Security to protect against threats like prompt injection and data leaks. Additionally, AI Agent Security is provided to safeguard agents from threats such as identity impersonation and memory manipulation.

The platform is set to be enhanced by Palo Alto Networks' planned acquisition of Protect AI, a company specializing in AI security. This acquisition is expected to close by the first quarter of fiscal 2026, pending customary closing conditions.
