OpenAI Acquires Personal Finance App Roi
OpenAI has acquired the AI-powered personal finance app Roi, as announced by Roi's CEO Sujith Vishwajith. The acquisition, which involves only Vishwajith joining OpenAI, underscores OpenAI's commitment to enhancing its personalized consumer AI offerings. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, and Roi will cease operations on October 15.
Roi, founded in 2022, aimed to provide a personalized financial experience by aggregating users' financial data, including stocks, crypto, and real estate, into a single app. The app also featured a customizable AI companion that adapted to user preferences. This acquisition is part of OpenAI's broader strategy to integrate personalization into its AI products, complementing its existing consumer applications like Pulse and Sora.
