Nota AI has achieved 100% accuracy in its smart traffic solution using the Sony IMX500 sensor, announced in a press release. This accomplishment was part of the AI Voucher Global Division project, supported by Korea's National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
The project, conducted in Lakewood, USA, focused on reducing pedestrian accidents and improving traffic flow in high-risk areas. Nota AI's solution, which integrates its lightweight AI optimization technology with Sony's advanced smart image sensor, was recognized as a best-case study in Sony's Edge AI webinar.
The IMX500 sensor combines an image sensor and a logic chip, allowing data processing directly on the sensor. This integration enables high-performance AI with minimal power consumption and cost, making it ideal for smart city environments where energy efficiency is crucial.
Nota AI's CEO, Myungsu Chae, highlighted the potential of their AI technology to drive innovations in energy efficiency and cost savings across various industries. The company has also filed for a preliminary IPO listing, marking a significant milestone as the first AI optimization company from Korea to pursue this route.
