NodeAI, a startup based in Hamilton, Ontario, has won the Falcons' Fortunes 2025 competition, securing the $100,000 Ernsting Entrepreneurship award. Announced in a press release, the company was recognized for its innovative use of artificial intelligence to enhance the speed and accuracy of diagnosing and staging non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
The award was presented to Dr. Waël Hanna, co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of NodeAI, during the annual event hosted by FACIT Inc. The competition, which focuses on oncology innovations, featured six entrepreneurs from Ontario pitching their groundbreaking technologies. NodeAI's solution aims to fill a critical gap in lung cancer diagnostics, potentially improving treatment decisions and patient outcomes.
FACIT's Falcons' Fortunes event is a key platform for early-stage ventures in Ontario, providing essential pre-seed capital to help startups establish a strong foundation in the region. The event also included a keynote from Dr. Thomas Hudson, a notable figure in oncology research and commercialization.
