New Era Helium, Inc. and Sharon AI, Inc. have taken a significant step forward in their data center project by entering a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PowerForward Energy Solutions. This agreement aims to provide 250MW of on-site generation capacity for their planned AI and high-performance computing campus in Ector County, Texas, announced in a press release.

The joint venture, Texas Critical Data Centers, LLC (TCDC), established between New Era Helium and Sharon AI, focuses on building a 250MW data center to meet the growing demand for AI and cloud GPU infrastructure. Under the MOU, PowerForward Energy Solutions will manufacture, install, and operate the generation assets, with the first 100MW expected within 12 months of funding and full deployment within 18 months.

The project is progressing with the completion of the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and ongoing air permitting planning. TCDC is also in discussions with potential customers interested in acquiring powered land for near-term deployment. Additionally, the venture is evaluating carbon capture technologies and securing natural gas supply agreements to support the data center's operations.
