Microsoft has announced a $30 billion investment in the UK to enhance AI infrastructure, including building the country's largest supercomputer with over 23,000 NVIDIA GPUs.

Microsoft Corporation has announced a significant investment of $30 billion in the United Kingdom to bolster AI infrastructure and operations over the next four years, announced on their website. This investment, the largest Microsoft has made in the UK, includes $15 billion dedicated to capital expenditures for expanding cloud and AI infrastructure.

A key component of this initiative is the construction of the UK's largest supercomputer, featuring more than 23,000 NVIDIA GPUs, in collaboration with Nscale. This move aims to meet the growing demand for AI capabilities and strengthen economic ties between the UK and the US.

The investment will also support Microsoft's ongoing operations in the UK, which include a workforce of 6,000 employees across various sectors such as advanced research, AI model development, and data center operations.
